Heart and Meaning Psychotherapy & Coaching
Dr. Sasha Raskin, LPC. Couples Therapy and Family Therapy & Coaching in Boulder, CO and Online
Are you looking for a couples coach to help you improve your communication, overcome some unresolved conflicts and increase satisfaction in your romantic relationship?
I'm Sasha Raskin, and I can help you create a sustainable positive change, so that your relationship can become better than it ever was. I provide couples coaching and relationship coaching via video online coaching, drawing from over ten years of clinical and coaching experience.
I get it. Relationships are not easy.
When it's going great, it can be one the greatest source of comfort and motivation in your life.
When it's not going smoothly, however, it can cause a lot of unneeded stress instead.
If you're feeling stressed about your romantic relationship, instead of being excited, but don't think you need or want a year or two of couples therapy, then couples coaching can be a great way for you to get support for your relationship!
We'll do it online, via coaching video calls, focusing on what is most immediate for you right now.
If you're here, you might be thinking:
-
I feel so lonely in this relationship
-
We can’t stop fighting
-
I don’t understand why we argue so much
-
Something has changed in our relationship
-
I miss how things were in the beginning
-
I’m frustrated with my partner
-
I’m not satisfied with our sex life
-
We never spend time with each other anymore
-
I don’t feel like I’m a priority in my partner’s life
-
The kids keep getting in the way of our relationship
Let me assure you, there is a clear process for you to get clarity about what is not working and then go ahead and change what needs to change, supported by me.
We'll get underneath the surface symptoms, such as communication problems or lack of sexual satisfaction. We'll learn how to transform loneliness, lack of connection, conflicts, and hopelessness. We will use research-based ways to strengthen your relationship, improve your style of communicating and negotiating needs. We will deepen your level of intimacy and help you discover and implement practical ways to take your relationship into greater levels of satisfaction beyond what you’ve experienced in the past.
My clients have found that our time together has helped them to work through challenging conversations, and express what has not been said for too long. They have been able to rekindle passion and love, reach a new level of connection and intimacy, or honestly consider other options for how to move forward in a supportive and safe environment.

Are you here because even though you and your partner love each other and are committed to your relationship something just isn’t right?
Maybe you feel like you lost something that was there at the beginning of your relationship, or you simply know that things can be even better than how they are today.
If you recognize yourself in any of the following, keep reading:
-
You’re getting into the same old 2-3 arguments, again and again, without a resolution
-
You’re not sure how to authentically bring up difficult subjects
-
You want more from your relationship
-
You want to communicate better
-
You want to have a better balance between together time and alone time
-
Other people/activities put stress on your relationship, and you don’t know what to do about it
-
You don’t always feel like the number one priority for your partner
-
You want more intimacy with your partner
The truth is that even though this feels very personal, it’s not actually your fault, and it’s not your partner’s fault either!
I don’t know about you, but I never had any classes in high school that taught me how to do healthy romantic relationships. Somehow, that was entirely skipped by the education system.
This is a shame because we already have decades of scientific information about what makes romantic relationships work, and what is destructive. Some of these people were my teachers!
Couples coaching, or relationship coaching is my preferred way of working with couples to improve the quality of their romantic relationship, in a fast and directed way. When we work together for 6-12 sessions, via online calls, from the comfort of your home, we’ll be combining the skills often taught in couples therapy, coupled with the strengths-based, action-oriented manner of life coaching.
Instead of talking about creating positive changes in your relationship, we’ll be creating these changes in real life, in the session! Why waste time?
I’ve spent more than a decade and hundreds of thousands of dollars learning how to help others create a sustainable positive change in the most efficient (and dare I say fun) way possible. I did it so you won’t have to!
What to expect:
I want my clients to start creating positive changes from week one. The process starts with a 20-minutes free video call consultation, during which the 3 of us get to see if it is a good fit to work together.
If it is a good fit for the three of us, and you are ready to begin we sign a contract for 12 sessions coaching package. We then start meeting in an online format, from the comfort of your home, so that geography and commute time are not a barrier. These sessions can be used as 50-minute-long zoom video calls or double-length 100 minutes long sessions.
During the sessions, we’ll be actively resolving the issues you’re facing, creating plans of action to create what you both want in life, and I’ll be facilitating conversations between you, as well as suggesting new ways of interaction, based on the latest science on relationships and nervous system regulation.
As part of your coaching package, you will get access to the full library of Gottman Connect, with 14 video modules with all the theory and practice you'll need for creating and maintaining an incredible romantic relationship. So you'll not only learn and practice powerful communication tools in sessions, you’ll get lifetime access to it all at home as well, including roleplay demonstrations.
To better help the couples I work with, I was trained in the major modalities of couples therapy:
-
Gottman Couples Therapy
-
Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy
-
Solution Focused Therapy
-
Brief Strategic Therapy
-
Structural Therapy
-
Narrative Therapy
-
PACT
-
Sex Therapy
To make the change faster and more sustainable, I combine the many tools from my coaching training with Tony Robbins and Chloe Madanes, Adlerian Coaching, Motivational Interviewing, and more.
You will learn new ways of soothing each other and responding to each other’s needs. You will practice proven ways of communication that are respectful and clear. You will learn how to move through disagreements, really listen to what the other is saying, and know that you have been heard. We will pinpoint destructive narratives, and build positive narratives of relationship. Feeling understood and cared for is a vital part of our work together.
When I begin working with clients on their challenges in couples coaching, I notice that they are struggling with many of the same issues:
-
Communication problems
-
Parenting
-
Chores
-
Lack of satisfaction in their sex life
-
Arguments about finances
-
Imbalance in financial contribution
-
Disagreements around decision-making
-
Jealousy
-
Lack of trust
-
Boredom
-
Never spending time together
-
A lack of balance between life and work
-
Discrepancies in needs for private versus together time
-
Dealing with immediate and extended family members
We will work collaboratively to face these issues head-on in a supportive, effective and safe way!
Clients I’ve worked with have created an improved version of their relationship, learned new more effective ways to communicate, how to give and receive support, have better quality time together, state their needs and have their needs met. As a consequence, they feel more fulfilled, more joy, respect, and love towards each other.
You can, too. I look forward to helping you create the relationship you’ve always wanted!
